When Nancy goes to pick up a new supply from Demetri, she tells him about the Pouncy House raid. Demetri insists on sending some imposing persuasion of the violent, ex-Russian soldier sort, but Nancy emphatically declines, saying that she would rather solve her own problems. Before this, Demetri had mostly come off as a nice, harmless slacker. It was a little strange to see him reverting back to the menacing demeanor that Nancy supposedly disarmed early on in the season. We'll probably have to keep an eye out for him, especially once things start escalating later on in the season.
No Violence Andy
I guess every man has his breaking point. Apparently, Andy's is when Emma's goons decide to steal all his Copenhagen Wheels and nail all his business fixtures to his ceiling. Armed with a nail gun, Andy kidnaps Emma and brings her back to the bike shop. It would have been great to see Andy get his day, but, once again, his arc fizzles out and Nancy takes over instead to try to intimidate Emma into returning everything back to the way it was. I thought the show would really give Andy his moment this time, especially since it allowed Doug to come in out of nowhere and bail Vehement Capital and Nancy out of their SEC jam. Apparently, there's only room for one man-child to be successful here.
Doug Makes a New Friend
The SEC sends over Jolene, the uptight, by-the-book agent introduced a couple episodes ago. Ostensibly, she's here to keep tabs on the government pensions in Vehement's control. Jolene's pretty much just a nosy square to Doug, and, much to his chagrin, she decides to set up her desk right in front of Doug's office. I would also put a heartily-sized bet on Jolene and Doug becoming an item in a couple of episodes. He does have a history of dating frigid women after all.
Problem Solving
Both Nancy and Silas end up solving the Pouncy House situation. Unfortunately, there's not much consultation in how they go about solving the problem and they end up arriving at two different solutions which stand in direct opposition to one another. Nancy sweet talks Detective Ouellet into holding a drug bust at Pouncy House headquarters and Silas decides on an alliance with them. Unfortunately for him, it seems like he's going to be at Pouncy House when the cops come in next week's episode.
