Fresh off accepting the Republican nomination for president, Mitt Romney on Friday headed to the gulf coast to tour damage from Hurricane Isaac.

Following Thursday night's conclusion to the Republican National Convention, Romney was scheduled to visit Louisiana, where he will view damage with Governor Bobby Jindal and thank first responders for their work.

Isaac canceled the first day of the convention, and Romney's campaign has been considering a visit for several days.

During his acceptance speech, Romney said it's time to turn the page on four years of disappointment.

He said he's the man to get the country's economy back on track, and he pledged to create 12 million jobs.

Romney claimed President Barack Obama let Americans down when he promised hope and change.

He also opened up about his faith.

He spoke about being a Mormon, saying that when he grew up in Michigan his friends were more concerned with what sports teams you rooted for than what church you went to.
