According to a Nielson survey from 2010, 49% of Super Bowl watchers pay more attention to the game, while a surprising 51% tune in for the commercials alone. With that kind of viewership, it's no wonder that the Super Bowl brings out some of the best commercials of the year. Sadly, as advertising companies spend more and more money, and try harder to use their allotted seconds wisely, the results aren't always memorable in a good way. "The Force" -- Volkswagon, 2011
In this nod to kids and adults who grew up with Star Wars, a mini-Darth Vader attempts to use The Force on a baby doll, a washing machine and finally, the family car. Little does he know his dad has remote controlled ignition, leading to the cutest reaction in Super Bowl commercial history.
