Here's a question for all you awesome RR readers: Why don't people talk more about James Marsden? He's not only a bona fide movie star, he's proven he's also absolutely hilarious during his recent guest stints on Modern Family and 30 Rock. Plus, he's gorgeous. Here's a closer look at why I want more Marsden on my TV.

The Guy is Versatile

There's no role Marsden can't play. Need proof? He can sing and dance (Hairspray and Enchanted), play an action hero (X-Men), play the romantic lead (27 Dresses), make us feel bad for him as the guy who doesn't get the girl (The Notebook and Superman Returns), be charming in kids' movies (Hop) and make us laugh out loud (Sex Drive and Death at a Funeral).

The Guy has Already Proven Himself on TV

Even the best shows on TV can't always turn a movie star into a quality TV star. Many celebrities have been known to crash and burn when trying their hand at TV guest-starring roles. But after Marsden's turns as Barry on Modern Family and Criss Chros on 30 Rock, I have faith he has something valuable to add to any television show on TV today.

The Guy is Adorable

Marsden's role as Liz Lemon's boyfriend on 30 Rock made me so happy that it got me thinking: What other TV characters could he romance? Max on 2 Broke Girls? Zoe on Hart of Dixie? Jess on New Girl? Ruby on Once Upon a Time? The possibilities are endless.

The Guy Can Act

Because Marsden so multi-talented, he would be great on some of the more unique shows on TV today. Give him a song-and-dance number on Smash. Give him a paintball gun on Community. Give him the powers of an Angelic on The Fades. I promise, he can handle it.

What's your favorite James Marsden role? Any other ideas of TV shows that he'd be great for? Share them in the comments!
