In tonight's episode, Nikita (Maggie Q) must help Carla remember the secret Amanda (Melinda Clarke) has been keeping, while trying to help Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) stay alive.
Nikita has a lot on her plate and her mind in tonight's episode, as she tries to help Carla recall details from her past and keep Alex out of danger after Alex makes her return to the public eye.
Ari to the Rescue?
While Alex plans her reemergence as Alexandra Udinov, Amanda and Ari discuss what can be done about the Carla situation. Ari says that the only way to keep Nikita from learning Amanda's secret is to use Alex as a sacrifice. But Alex is way ahead of Ari this time around and she thwarts his plan to bring down Semak.
Unfortunately, Alex is still in trouble because Semak has ordered her to be killed on-sight and he has too many people in place for Alex to get away on her own. Alex reluctantly agrees to let Ari and Amanda help her escape from Semak, even though she still does not trust them.
Division was Meant to Be a Good Thing
Carla fills Nikita and Co. in on the early days of Division and how it was a very different program when she ran it. Carla wanted Division to be a good place where people could start over, but Amanda had different ideas.
While exploring her past, Carla remembers a chance meeting she once had with Ari Tasarov and Nikita realizes that Amanda's big secret was her connection to Ari. Carla is furious that Amanda may have been working with the Russians this whole time and she wants to take Amanda out, ASAP. Alas, Alex has gotten into a bit of trouble and Nikita asks Carla to hold off on her attack against Amanda until Alex is out of harm's way.
Operation Alexandra
Alex makes her grand return at a Zetrov press conference, much to Semak's surprise. Alex dazzles the press with the cover story Amanda prepared for her and Semak is forced to end the press conference early. Once alone, Alex forces Semak to make a deal -- if he lets her mother go and gives them enough money to live on, Alex will disappear and leave Zetrov in Semak's hands.
But Semak decides it would be easier to eliminate Alex altogether, so he orders Ari to kill her. Sadly for Semak, Ari has already made a deal to keep Alex alive and he helps her escape. Alex then returns, alive and well, for the next day's press conference to announce that she will be taking control of Zetrov in her family's name.
Work Friends Once Again
With Alex now embedded in a war against Sergei Semak, Nikita and Co. realize that they cannot remove Amanda and Ari from power, as Alex will need their protection. Carla understands why Nikita wants her to leave Amanda be and she claims to appreciate Nikita's devotion to her friend.
Yet, when she breaks away from the group, Carla makes a call to Percy (Xander Berkeley) and asks for his help. Carla wants to recreate Division as the program they originally planned for and Percy agrees to assist her in that task. Of course, Carla does not know how power-hungry Percy has become in the years since they last worked together or what he will do when she tells him about Amanda's relationship with Ari.
