After team Unanimous suffered two losses last episode, the celebrities have more pressure on them than ever this week when they must create a viral video for O-Cedar's Pro-Mist Steam Mop. The two underdogs, Lou and Tia, are tackling the challenge as project managers and they really need to prove themselves as valuable assets to their teammates. The men's team has unanimously agreed (pun intended) that unless Lou steps up this week, he's going to be the next to go. Will we see more pro-active sides to Lou and Tia or will they fall through the cracks for the fifth week in a row? Let's get right into tonight's drama filled episode and find out!
Lou Ferrigno -- Dancing Queen
Yup, you heard it right, Lou Ferrigno dances his way through his team's video for the Pro-Mist Steam Mop. Their motto of "I'm gonna mop the floor with you" was a great idea brought by Paul, and the men decide to use Lou as front and center of the video and presentation. However, I think they may have over-done it with Lou as we barely get to see anyone else perform either behind the camera or in front of the O-Cedar representatives.
I commend Lou for his dancing and it was definitely entertaining, but I didn't love the video. Other than the dancing, it was pretty boring with the monotone female model giving all the information about the product. At least use Arsenio as a spokesperson or something!
The men's team takes a surprising turn on one of the more unsuspecting members. The new target this week lands on Penn, and I'm not entirely sure why he is getting ganged up on all of the sudden. I happen to think he is one of the most genuine and considerate players in the bunch, and he seemed genuinely hurt when Clay tells him he was being condescending. Never once did his constructive criticism sound malicious or hurtful, and at least he contributes to the team with the intention to improve the overall concept. Hopefully next week, they can all work it out and realize how valuable of a teammate he is.
Sex and Mops
Team Forte decides to go with a racier theme in hopes of attracting a younger audience with the slogan, "What's your number?" I love this concept and I think the women execute the video and the presentation very well. It's a well-known fact that sex sells, and they successfully incorporate a classy, yet sexy concept while also selling a mop. Just be careful if you have an accent like Dayana and are trying to order Peonies over the phone -- you may have them confused with a similar sounding male organ. Oops!
Perhaps it's because of my own gender bias, but I would watch and share their video over the men's any day. Unfortunately, the O-Cedar team does not agree and gives the win to team Unanimous. The team dynamic, however, may have played a part in their failure and was not as successful as the concept. Once again, Aubrey and Lisa team up together, this time accompanied by Debbie, and they appear to do the majority of the work.
Lisa calls out Tia as a poor manager in the boardroom and Dayana as the least useful teammate. The catty behavior is at an all-time high, and I guess it's a good thing that Tia takes one for the team and gets herself fired. However, it's obvious that Aubrey will be coming under fire very soon.
Partying Celebrity Style
Next week, the stars must organize a party and I can't wait to see who is going to take the lead for each team on this one! What was your favorite moment from tonight's episode? Did Penn deserve the comments he got from Clay? Should Tia have given herself up without taking anyone back to the boardroom? Which team do you think will win next week? Leave your comments and come back to RoadRunner next Sunday for your Celebrity Apprentice commentary!
