Party -- Poopers?
Both teams admit this being a big challenge because they're not big partiers, which I am not so sure I am buying. We know Teresa Guidice is the life of a party with her table flipping and Aubrey has a song called "Party All Day." As for the men -- okay, maybe I believe the men. This drama-free episode is a bit lacking the party atmosphere.
The men's beach party and the women's Garden of Eden theme highlight Crystal Light's fun, vibrant, sassy brand personality. Both teams succeed in creating a unique and individualistic atmosphere, with Debbie Gibson even creating an original song for Crystal Light (wonder if we'll be hearing more of it) and both lacking in similar ways; the men's branding and the women's brand messaging.
Spoiler alert: Though the executives chose Aubrey as the overall star, the men, once again, get the win. When Aubrey brings back Dayana Mendoza and Patricia Valesquez to the boardroom, Donald Trump points out the team's flaw in detail, which boils down to being Patricia's fault, earning her a "You're fired."
It's My Loss and I'll Cry If I Want To
Both teams really brought their A-game this task, yet with Aubrey brushing off the fun theme, I was not surprised the women lost. I felt Aubrey made a dumb decision calling out Dayana over Patricia, because Patricia is more at fault and Trump wants his beauty queen, pageant star around.
Trump disappointed me this week by allowing Aubrey's over-dramatized waterworks to influence him into giving $10,000 to her charity. Don't get me wrong; the man is honorable for his donation, but Aubrey was crying over her personal loss, not the loss for her charity.
No Debating Equals Lower Rating
This season's Celebrity Apprentice has proved to be a catty popularity contest thus far amongst the women and I actually missed the fights this week. Sure, Aubrey was still a mean girl running down Debbie to the camera, but where was the clique this episode?
I am not surprised by next week's preview showing Trump mixing up the teams, because the fact is that we tune in to watch celebrities fight and embarrass themselves. With the teaser revealing someone storming out of the competition, am I the only one looking forward to a revival of the drama?
