Sherri is the latest Dancing star sent home.

KISS Me Deadly

After Monday's evening of injury-laden rock-themed performances, it's time to once again play another celebrity dancer off. The gentlemen of KISS reprise their guest appearance, playing live staple "Lick It Up" to open the show. From there, it's time for results.

Coming From Behind

The first save of the night goes to Melissa and Maks: Melissa was hospitalized for a concussion after Monday's show, so it would be in rather poor taste to try and build suspense around their status tonight. They're joined by Gavin and Karina, marking the pair's first week outside the bottom two.

Good News Everyone

After that, we have our first encore performance of the season: Donald and Peta are called on to reprise their excellent Paso Doble, and it's just as mind-bendingly excellent as it was on Monday.

In the next wave of results, Gladys, Maria, and Jaleel are all interviewed about how they will distinguish themselves--Jaleel promises nudity--before being put on the chopping block. Fortunately for them, all three couples are safe. That leaves the remaining contestants in an interesting place: with low scorer Gladys and perennial bottom-dweller Gavin saved early, it means that someone from the middle of the pack will be leaving.

Bottom Dwellers

After that comes a showcase for Karina, followed by the evening's first jeopardized couple: Donald is unsurprisingly declared safe, leaving ham-happy Roshon in the bottom two. After a plug for DWTS Live in Vegas, the other bottom-dweller is revealed: Catherine and William are safe, leaving Sherri in jeopardy.

The results are in, and Sherri is out. It really is a shame; while she wasn't the most natural dancer in the competition, she was consistently stepping outside her comfort zone and brought a whole lot of personality to the show. Before leaving, she shares a heartfelt invitation to run toward one's fear, as it's amazing on the other side.

Very unfortunate to see her go, it really does feel too soon. We'll get you next time, Roshon.
