Fallon made mincemeat of the competition. These were Tuesday's top moments:
Obama Slow Jams the News
We already knew President Obama had a sultry singing voice, but his collaboration with Jimmy Fallon took political campaigning to a funky new level. "The Barack Ness Monster" laid down his stance on student loans while The Roots laid down a beat, and Fallon chimed in for emphasis. It's a good thing Obama smokes because you'll need a cigarette afterwards.

Kimmel on Dirty Teen Tricks
"Teenagers have been popping up in local emergency rooms with alcohol poisoning. Drinking hand sanitizer is of particular concern because Purell is considered to be a gateway soap." (Jimmy Kimmel Live)
Music Moment: Beirut
Beirut bowed on Leno, horns and all, marking a surprisingly indie audio choice for the usually stuffy Tonight Show (case in point, the band is sandwiched between performances by Train and Ziggy Marley this week). The new album is The Rip Tide, and it's appropriately easy to get swept up in.
The Teen Spirit Award
In no category do American teenagers show more ingenuity than in the pursuit and consumption of booze. The latest trick involves isolating the alcohol in hand sanitizer -- what'll they think of next? Is it time to lower the drinking age or will that only make matters worse?
