Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake Team for Gambling Drama

In other potentially promising sequel news (well, sort of), Rounders scribes Brian Koppelman and David Levien have written a pseudo-sequel, which is being produced by New Regency. The film, titled Runner, Runner (a Texas Hold 'Em term indicating a bad beat, when a player is behind on the flop and wins with what he gets on the turn and the river) follows completely different characters with a thriller set in the world of online poker. I know the words "thriller" and "online" rarely go together when discussing films, but this sounds like an interesting story. Timberlake is set to star as a savvy player, and Affleck as a shady offshore entrepreneur who takes Timberlake's character under his wing.

Ben Affleck (World Series of Poker)

You may have noticed, but I tend to be cautiously optimistic about a lot of these projects, though I'm certain some of them will be disasters. What new projects have you heard about that have piqued your interest?
