Even though Andy was fired, he plans on going to the fundraiser dinner with the rest of the work group. This is just not done, Andy. Of course, Erin, is still working at Dundler Mifflin, so he would still be her date though. This doesn't mean you stand up on the podium and announce you're going to adopt 12 or so dogs which is what Andy does. Still, Dwight made an even more costly mistake ...

Unintentional donation

During the banquet dinner, the announcement for the prizes, which aren't all that great anyway, is made. Dwight won them all and he is happy. The elation only lasts a second until Dwight realizes what really happened is that he donated $34,000.00! Jim has a beaming smile at this - ha ha!

So, Dwight being Dwight, gets up on stage and babbles. He tries to say that fundraisers aren't really abut money, when of course that's all they're about. It's funny to see Dwight suddenly run at top speed for the door when he can't think of any other way to get out of the mess he created!

Rewind a little

I loved to see this week's special work slack off scene which involved the Dundler Mifflin gang discussing Smoky Waters and Ryan pretending he loved the singer's work. Ryan had to talk his way out of not wanting to see a Smokey Waters concert. At $250.00 a ticket when you're an office worker? That should be reason enough for Jim and Pam to stop bugging Ryan about it!

Taco time

Since Nellie has to make absolutely everyone like her, her next target is Darryl. She sits beside him at the fundraiser and tries to bond by mentioning tacos even though she doesn't know what they are.  Nellie hopes they are neither slimy nor have eyes. Those would be eels, Nellie, not tacos. Darryl takes the $30 Nellie pays for two tacos and pockets the change. No one seems to notice the two of them eating these despite Nellie being loud to the point of being embarrassing with her "mmm" sounds!

Is he or isn't he?

The senator hits on Oscar, or does he? Since the senator tells Oscar to call him after 9pm, this convinces Oscar that he's being hit on. Pam and Jim don't believe it and the three of them watch how the senator acts with others. He does the same thing with everyone and Oscar says he feels like "a lonely, aging monster." That isn't funny, but I do laugh when Oscar says "My dog, Gerald, is my life."

Gone to the dogs

An animal shelter worker gives Andy tips on caring for all of the dogs he adopted and some are sick. Of course that is crazy giving 12 dogs to one person without making sure the guy is capable of it. Andy sure isn't, but he realizes it before even attempting to take the dogs home. Andy says he was trying to be okay about being fired, but he really isn't okay. Erin should be more compassionate as she just stands there being grateful they won't have all those dogs now.

This episode had a few laughs, but I didn't really like the dog storyline. It shouldn't even be a light thing to adopt 12 dogs. Okay, I know it's only a show and Andy never went though with it, but still, it wasn't even funny! The tacos were funny.

What did you think of this week's The Office?
