This week's Survivor: One World had the castaways' family members actually participating in a challenge, so that was fun to see. Whiny Kat was her annoying self, but she did surprisingly well during the challenges. Still, if there's such a thing as too much too late, that created quite a Katastrophe for her tonight!
Love on the Line
Tree mail time has everyone pumped since Sprint sponsors video messages from the castaways' loved ones. At the Reward Challenge, Jeff says that the winner will get to spend an afternoon with his or her loved one complete with a feast featuring fish, chicken and kababs. Of course, this was a fake out to say only the winner would see his or her loved one since all of them are right there and get to hug the castaways and participate in the challenge.
The challenge involves a muddy clearing and a lot of colored ropes. The ropes have to be untied and worked with to get the teams of two to the end of the obstacle course. Kim is teamed with her older sister, Beth, who seems to have Kim's likable personality. Christina is so glad to be with her dad, Sung, who recently had kidney surgery and may only have between five and 10 years to live. Awww ...
Chelsea's father, Ken, has her face only the male version. Kat's male cousin is a young, dark-haired, hottie. I laugh when Alicia's sister, Leticia, says the sisters have a sarcastic relationship, then tells Alicia she missed her!
The (About Time) Amazing Race
What's amazing is that Kat wins for once, but hey, she had the help of her fit cousin who also seems to have more brains. Tarzan and his wife, Terri, who has a blonde braid down to the back of her knees just about, were out of the race early. It's cute though that he just seems to love her so much. Tarzan tells Jeff that he and his wife "have a quantum entanglement." Only Tarzan can tangle up the English language like that!
Eye on the Prize
Challenge-winners Kat and her cousin, Robby, are allowed to have two other duos join them. Kat sticks by her Kim and Alicia alliance, even though Kim picked Alicia over Kat for last week's food reward. Many of the remaining castaways mumble that Kat should have chosen Tarzan and Christina. Yeah, but, this is Survivor and not about pity-parties people! Still, Tarzan is right when he says "Kat is not a thinker." Understatement!
Immunity Challenge
This week's Immunity Challenge is an endurance one. The castaways -- minus their loved ones this time -- line up on a horizontal pole above the water. They have to stand there longer than the others in order to win immunity. This is harder than it sounds since the pole is narrow and also cylindrical, so it has got to be hard on the feet. Sabrina steps down right away and this makes me question Kim's earlier logic that she will have to choose Sabrina next to be voted out because she may not be able to beat Sabrina in the finals.
Tarzan drops next and finally it's an unlikely two people left - Kat and Kim! Hmmm ... now Kat's showing Kim that she's even stronger than Sabrina so this winning streak Kat is on isn't too smart, really. Sure enough, at Tribal Council Kat gets voted out unanimously with only Kat picking Sabrina. Good! The "I'm only 22" whiner is outta there!
What do you think about Kat heading to the jury on Survivor: One World?
