As much as we'd like to pretend otherwise, not all mothers are perfect. In fact, imperfect mothers oftentimes make the most interesting TV characters. Here's a few of our favorites.

The anti-homemaker, Peg disdained any household task more strenuous than painting her fingernails. A blowzy redhead with a grating voice, all-spandex wardrobe and little in the way of parenting skills, Peg was the sort of mom who was better off when she completely ignored her kids; her rare attempts at hands-on parenting usually backfired.
