The singing kids of Glee are on the brink of a major life transition: leaving behind the comfortable confines of high school for the abundant freedom of college. Pretty soon, the Glee kids will be belting out tunes from a whole new stage. But they won't be alone in their transition; plenty of shows have taken their teenaged characters from the halls of high school to the quad at college, with varying results. Here are some hits and misses:

Beverly Hills 90210

Though 90210 is best known for its high school environment, most of the seasons of this '90s mega hit actually took place after the gang flew the high school coop. Of its 10 seasons on the air, only three took place in West Beverly High. That means the rich-kid drama continued for seven years past its high school roots. I'd call that passing the transition with flying colors.
