In this March 2012 photo released by ABC shows Emily Maynard, a former contestant on "The Bachelor" and now the star of the latest season of "The Bachelorette," in Charlotte, N.C. Maynard talks about what she's doing differently this time around as ABC's "Bachelorette." She got engaged last year to Brad Womack in the season finale of "The Bachelor" but their relationship didn't work out.

By Sheri Stirrs

We get a nice mini tour of all the popular London sights such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. There's a double decker bus and Emily's even wearing a trench coat. Way to pack in all these Britishisms, Bachelorette.

This all happens during Emily's one on one date with Sean. They make a nice couple; they're both good looking blondes and he is so tall. But, it just doesn't sound convincing when Sean says to the camera that he's falling for Emily. To his credit, at Speaker's Corner, Sean announces that he's not in love with Emily, but hopes to be. She stands there and smiles blankly, then comments to the camera that there's still a lot she doesn't know about him.

Jailhouse dinner

Emily is in a sparkly dress and Sean cleans up nicely in a suit. They are having dinner in the old prison of London Tower and Emily tells Sean she likes that he is so perfect, yet humble. Sean keeps smiling as Emily broaches the possibility of having four kids, so yeah, he gets the rose. Emily looks beautiful, but her voice is so hoarse from an obvious cold or something that I feel sorry that she's "working" on TV. Sean and Emily kiss and if she does have a cold, so does he now probably.

The play's the thing

The group date features Shakespeare in the park - a little Romeo and Juliet, of course. Emily says she's not "looking for an Oscar winning performance" but a guy who can have fun. This is a good thing because most of these guys stink at acting! Arie has to play the female nurse and Doug also has to play a woman. Ryan is cast as Romeo and yes, he has the Shakespearian looks for the role and is the best actor of the bunch. The female acting expert is playing Juliet while all Emily has to do is watch. Later, she's in the actual play and Ryan is pretty good with her.

Your bags are packed

Jef, Doug and Kalon are sitting around the table in the suite talking and Kalon shows his true colors by referring to Ricky, Emily's daughter, as "baggage." Doug and Jef are shocked. Jef especially is upset since Kalon comes from a single mother famly. Later, Emily has a pow wow with Kalon and some of the other guys lke Doug. She asks. Kalon point blank if he called Ricky baggage and Kalon admits it. Emily is so upset as she says having Ricky is a "blessing." You're right on that, Emily!

Emly kicks Kalon out and it's about time! She tells the other guys that she's disappointed that the guys didn't tell her sooner about what Kalon said and I wish Jef would have stepped up. But, see Emily, guys aren't as quick to be tattletales as the girls, generally speaking. No one is getting a rose now, Emily says.

Tea for two and etiquette too

Emily's one on one date with Jef, my favorite pick for Emily, includes afternoon tea. Ruining the mood is an etiquette teacher saying "no no no" which irritates Jef. He voices his displeasure to the camera and is cute about it, while being nothing but polite at the table. Emily doesn't like the lesson either and they ditch the joint for fish and chips at a pub. Jef tells Emily that he was there when Kalon made the baggage remark. If Ricky is baggage than she's a special designer type that I want to have forever, Jef tells Emily and this scores him some brownie points. Emily says to the camera she needs Jef to show her that he's really into her though. I'm glad that Emily still thinks Jef is worthy of a rose though.

Romeo reprise

After Emily worries Arie because she still seems upset that Arie didn't say anything about Kalon, Ryan decides to lighten the mood. While Emily is on the stairway balcony, Romeo Ryan reads Shakespeare from below. Yeah, he's good and good looking! Next, Emily slow dances with Sean and she says she does get "butterflies in her heart" with Sean. Wow. Watch out Jef and Ryan!

A rose by any other name

Doug gets the first rose and Ryan gets the second. Chris gets the next rose. John "Wolf" gets the fourth one and Travis scores the fifth flower. It's time for the final rose and it goes to a very relieved Arie. This means Alejandro is adios. Good choice, Emily as there has been no noticable chemistry there.
