At the close of the fifth season of Mad Men, let's take a look at what happened to some of the main characters between Memorial Day 1966 and Easter 1967.
Don Draper

Don (Jon Hamm) started the season so uncharacteristically happy in his new marriage to his former secretary Megan (Jessica Paré) that he's slacking off at work. The tussle over the Jaguar account sharpened his focus, although in the end, the fact that he didn't know if the agency won the account because of his masterful pitch rankled like a bad toothache. By the season's end, he's as ruthless as ever in the office, though with a greater sense of empathy than he'd previously shown. But he's also just turned 40, which meant more in 1967 than it does in 2012: big changes are underfoot, but Don's not ready for them.
