Thanks to viral videos, you can now throw out all of your own boring home movies and watch someone else's! Here are some of the most popular videos on the web this week (that I'm allowed to share on a family-friendly site)...
Mister Rogers' 'Hood
This is the only thing that's actually creepier than an episode of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood itself. Though you have to admit, it is a pretty catchy tune. And Mr. Rogers' cardigans are back in style these days. I always look at people who make television shows or music for children with somewhat of a crooked eye -- I don't think you could pay these guys enough. Or register them enough per Megan's Law.
Doogie Howser, Award Host
Hackily, every time I get an email about the "Tony Awards", I anticipate and ultimately get disappointed that it is not an email about me winning awards. Anyway, Neil Patrick Harris is not hacky and is rather pretty darn talented. He also has one of the stranger career paths of my lifetime. Good job here on the musical number, including great cameos by Annie and Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson. If only anyone cared about the awards themselves.
I Bet You Will
Between the accent and the Benny Hill-sounding theme, everything the British do seems somehow both more refined and/or zany than on our side of the pond. These are some pretty cool tricks, though I feel like each one of them would just result in being punched if real money was at stake. I still haven't figured out how to do the batteries one, or what the green liquid is.
Look Out Below!
I'm not sure how official the claim of "Biggest Cliff Jump Ever" really is, but it is officially badass in my book. I'm not sure how high this was, but some of the comments seem to think 80-100 feet. I once cliff-jumped from like 25 feet and can tell you that was plenty high for me -- too much time to regret it on the way down. Impact sounded like it hurt -- hope lunch was worth it dude.
Dancing Flames
I was really amped over Game 7, but I admit I wasn't really able to watch much of it because I was preoccupied at a bachelor party drinking...Coca-Colas. I am, however, pretty glad that I missed this little corny display afterwards. That may be a little harsh because they were just celebrating, but it was kind of a weird moment considering they were in the same position last year. Poor Juwan Howard -- nobody wants to dance with him.
So that's what I have for you -- but what did you think? Which of these is your favorite? And what videos did you find on the Internet this week?
