50 Cent vs Oprah
There's been bad blood between Oprah Winfrey and rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson for several years, ever since Jackson, 36, was quoted as saying, "Oprah's audience is my audience's parents so I could care less about Oprah or her show."
But when the rapper invited Winfrey into his grandmother's Queens, NY home, he seemed to have changed his tune. "This is a huge milestone for me. Just being in your presence and on the show. That's a huge accomplishment."
Winfrey has been vocally opposed to the misogyny associated with Jackson's and other rappers' lyrics, and Curtis maintained that these criticisms were at the heart of his discomfort. "I would see moments when you would discuss your feelings on the culture and everything that was wrong with the culture was what was on my CD, and I was like, 'Oh, she doesn't like me.'"
We're glad these two have buried the hatchet -- though we can't see them collaborating on a musical project any time soon.
