Tonight on Bridezillas, we catch up with Rochelle, the young and clueless sex-driven bride. Also, Ashanti reinstates indentured servitude with her bridesmaids.
Ashanti, 23, Student in Honolulu Marrying Geoff in the Military
Meet Ashanti. She's a student, marrying a military man named Geoff. It seems pretty normal until the couple sit down with her mother to discuss wedding plans. She's completely aloof to what's already been done. Ashanti does take some initiative with her bridesmaids, though. After overspending and stretching the budget, the bridal party will now be making up for what is still left to be done. Sarai, Geoff's cousin, thought she was only coming in for the wedding, but instead she'll be cooking oxtails for 25 to 30 people at the rehearsal dinner/surprise birthday party for Geoff.
When we left off with Rochelle and Nathan, they had just ended a fight. Nathan took off on a sprint into the neighborhood. Now Rochelle's mother is trying to mend the cracks by talking to Nathan while Rochelle's older brother lends his sibling some advice. Both waste their breaths, seeing as how the young and naive bride takes matters into her own hands. She uses the only cheering up method she knows ... sex. Classy, real classy.
Like any bridezilla, both our brides have to reach their quota of disrespecting others. Ashanti takes her bridesmaids on a small field trip, asking for their help as she shops for wedding night lingerie. The only catch is that any differing opinion from the bride will earn them the boot from her wedding. With that said, all three bridesmaids are fired! Rochelle, on the other hand, is one hour late to her makeup session and proceeds to belittle her makeup artist. She even tosses in a good flip of the finger. Where do they find these women?
What happens when two teenagers roam while televised through a sex shop? Lucky for you, you have me to tell you just what! Rochelle and April hop around the boutique, testing, spraying, shaking and flipping switches on and off while giggling. To make matters even more uncomfortable, Rochelle calls her fiance and hands the phone to her friend to ask what he prefers in the bedroom. The mention of handcuffs and restraints is finally too much for her to handle. The girls do walk away with a swing in the bag, though.
As for Ashanti and company, she's busy running into an innocent man's back bumper while texting. She hands over Geoff's cell number and joins her bridesmaids for a spa day, who would include two of the three fired just the night before. They enjoy having their nails done and sipping champagne. Ashanti might enjoy it a bit too much, slurring her words when she's not even aware she's consuming alcohol.
Appearing three hours late to meet with her makeup stylist, Ashanti is obviously only thinking about herself, and she continues to do so by asking her sister to fetch something from her car for her. Somehow, this turns into an argument and her sister becomes the next victim tossed from the wedding.
A hurricane enters the San Antonio area, causing Rochelle and her mother to worry about the wedding location. Her mom is more worried about the people who might have been in the area and, of course, Rochelle is trying not to walk down an aisle made of her home furniture.
It is the day of Rochelle's wedding and once the bride is adorned in her gown and matching crotchless panties, the bridal party arrives at the venue, which is still standing. There may have been a few hiccups during the ceremony, such as Rochelle not paying attention and repeating what the officiate spoke, but they are pronounced husband and wife. The reception cannot end fast enough -- the couple is preparing for the wedding night festivities, which begin in the limo ride home.
