Erica or Robin?
Having Erica in limbo has led to a clear divide in the house. It's Andrea/Kevin/Mike as one strong unit, but they also have Holly/Andrea because they need more people. Gene is on the fence, but he's mainly with Jeffrey/Joy/Stephanie. If Robin comes back, that's another vote for Andrea's group, and if Erica returns, it's a vote for Jeffrey's group.
It boils my blood a little that Andrea's religious and political beliefs are making her a target, and thus makes me sympathize for her, since she really did nothing wrong, and the other team -- especially Jeffrey -- is being a huge crybaby.
So on one hand, I want Robin back, but she hasn't been doing herself any favors. She seems a little too out there, and not even in an entertaining way.
With a lot at stake, America votes Robin out of the house.
Consistently Disliked
Ashley and Holly are getting more face time this week than they have the previous weeks combined. Holly still comes across as not having much of a personality, but Ashley is really stepping it up. The two of them get voted as the least liked out of the house. I would've loved if it were one of them and someone from the other side because then it will really pit the teams against each other, since the captains are the ones who end up picking their teams.
A Wise Strategy?
Because two members of one alliance have a chance to go to limbo, Mike, Kevin, Holly and Ashley decide the best course of action is not to split the house during the competition. That means one of the women will take on Jeffrey's side, and the other will take on Mike's side. They're hoping that whatever team Jeffrey and Co. are on loses, guaranteeing one of them to go into limbo -- should they lose, of course.
It's definitely risky, but what other choice do they have left at this point? They're taking back what little power they have left.
Holly ends up being the sacrificial lamb. Their reasoning is that Holly was already voted back in, so maybe she stands a chance against the other team. What they fail to realize is she was up against a player with a terrible strategy.
But Holly, while she'll take Jeffrey and friends on her team, doesn't want to just lie down and die.
Ashley ends up with the people who have her back, plus Stephanie.
The Competition
The players have to balance a ball while holding one giant plastic circle and drop it in a tube. I was hoping that with genius Stephanie on Ashley's side, they'd win. But it doesn't have anything to do with brains or smarts. Just a little luck and a whole lot of balance.
It certainly looks like Stephanie isn't trying at all. It's easy to pull her side too much up or not enough down, forcing balls to fall.
Holly's team is on a mission to win. Why wouldn't they, as the game play is obvious? And Holly is trying really hard, too. I'm glad she actually wants to win. It certainly looks close. It doesn't look like one team dominates.
Banished to Limbo
Holly's team finishes the competition in 5:36 ... and Ashley's team finishes in 7:57! Ugh, the worst possible scenario just happened. It really wasn't that close, in the end.
The votes come down to Stephanie and Kevin ... and Kevin is sent to limbo with Ashley.
I'm holding out the slight chance there's some curveball thrown in the game that allows both Ashley and Kevin to come back. But even with Kevin kissing Erica and then voting her off to limbo, and basically being the house "villain" to Jeffrey and the team's eyes, I really can't picture him being voted out.
