Jimmy Kimmel kicked the week off with a memorable interview with the buzzworthy actress Dreama Walker, who is winning viewers over with her starring role on ABC's Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23, but was on the program to promote her new indie Compliance, which comes out in August.
What's In A Name?
Naturally, things with Dreama kicked off with a discussion regarding her name. "My mom has some story that she got my name in a dream, and that's why they named me that," Walker explained. "But the truth is that my father and mother had agreed to a different name, but when my mom had me, my dad showed up at the hospital, and my mom just said, 'Her name's Dreama now.'" When asked what the name her parents had previously agreed on was, Walker deadpanned, "Alyssa." Walker went on to tell a colorful story about her mother deciding to buy young Dreama an eyepatch when she was hurt during softball in the sixth grade -- for the rest of middle (and high) school), she was known as the eyepatch girl. Her storytelling charm on full display, Walker won Kimmel and the crowd over, and it's clear this young actress will be around for a while.
