Wow, I didn't realize it's already the final night of performances and votes! The singers this week perform with their celebrity mentor and also have a solo. Finally! No more harmonizing and sometimes slightly distracting partners.

But first, we find out who those three singers are out of J Rome, John, Bridget and Jason.

First up are Bridget and Jason: Jason is safe!

Next are John and J Rome: J Rome is safe!

So John and Bridget are in the bottom two ... and Bridget had the lowest number of votes, which means Robin Thicke and John Legend are out of contestants, setting up an all-male finale.

I don't think anyone is surprised. Overall, perhaps there is slight surprise in Jason making it this far since he was at risk of going home since Day 1.

How tonight's performances shake out:

J Rome and Jennifer Nettles, "Breakeven"

I can't take this performance seriously with Jennifer's ridiculous outfit, which consists of a burgundy cowboy hat and a floor-length blue ... thingy. I will definitely miss the "Sugarland" star's odd outfits and hilarious facial expressions during her singing.

As for this performance, way to pick probably the worst song for the finale. Is this how you want people to remember you? This is the song you do in Week 3 or 4. It's not a difficult song, so he went with something safe. It's just nice, forgettable and blah. There is no emotion or energy. Quite disappointing from the favorite to win it.

I will agree with John's comments that this duo developed a deep comfort level that's great to see.

Robin: "I wouldn't think that was right for your voice."

John: "I basically decided everything is right for your voice."

Kelly: "You chose a song I would not have chosen."

Jason and Kelly Clarkson, "Me and Mrs. Jones"

This song saved the Bruno Mars wannabe in a previous week, so he believes it's good luck. The good parts are really, really good, while the rest is just OK. Another one of those songs that seem to drag on. It wasn't a good idea to sit on stools the entire time, but apparently Kelly hurt her ankle and was wearing "grandma slippers" to quote her. He does end on a strong, powerful note, which kind of makes the performance a little better.

While Jason has improved as a singer, him performing with Kelly still seems odd all these weeks later. Their chemistry hasn't developed as fast or as strong as Jennifer's has with her two finalists.

Jennifer: "You're like this yummy little soul singer."

John: "I actually don't love this song for you."

Robin: "What I missed was a little bit of naughtiness."

Jennifer Nettles and John, "The Prayer"

Take note other finalists: This is how you deliver a finale performance.

When I saw this was the song, I rolled my eyes and thought, 'Here we go. Going to be another drab performance.' But on the first note, John was captivating. See, he doesn't have to do cheesy, Broadway-type performances that he's been doing. His middle range, vulnerable but not weak is his strong spot.

By far the best performance out of the three.

John: "This song took advantage of all the strengths in your voice."

Robin: "That song could not have been a better choice."

Kelly: "Your voice is hypnotic and people get lost in it."

Rankings after duet performances: John, Jason, J Rome

J Rome, "Signed, Sealed and Delivered"

I'm really, really glad the finalists are given a chance to have a solo. In the first 10 seconds of his performance, it's easy to see why. J Rome works the entire stage, which is really refreshing to see. He does seem like a pro. The performance and entertainment is better than the vocals.

Also, host Quddus totally has a man crush on J Rome. He doesn't even hide it anymore.

John, "Bless the Broken Road"

An OK performance, definitely not better than the duet one. It sounded like he had a lot of pitch problems, and the song didn't really offer him much to show off his range.

Jason, "Runaway Baby"

Finally, Bruno Mars wannabe does Bruno Mars! Not the best choice of Bruno Mars songs. It felt a little too fast. There are a lot of words and at times, it just sounded like a slur. He definitely doesn't have the moves, but picking this particular song and trying to show off his dance moves will probably win some votes.

Who Will Win It All?

I don't think there's is any doubt that J Rome will have one of the final two spots. Jason's cute factor has been really played up, so it wouldn't surprise me if he comes in second. I don't really think it matters who the second person is, in the end.
