Things got a little natal on Wilfred this week with Ryan's sister returning from India pregnant. How Ryan -- and Wilfred -- responded are what constituted the meat of the episode.

Surprise, Surprise

The episode opens with Ryan (Elijah Wood) finding out that his sister Kristen (Dorian Brown) is back from India. When she shows up at Ryan's place, it seems like things are going well for her -- she says Arturo (Nestor Carbonell) is leaving his wife for her and they're moving in together soon. However, Ryan finds a restraining order from Arturo in Kristen's bag and she asks to crash with Ryan. Brown did a good job of conveying just how mixed-up and confused her character's state of mind is at this point.

Life With Sis

Life with Kristen isn't exactly idyllic for Ryan -- but Ryan hilariously allows himself to get put upon time and again by Kristen because he feels bad for the position she's in. Some of the strange demands she makes of him -- buying kale chips for her, letting her use his personal razor -- make for the funniest moments in the episode. Meanwhile, Wilfred (Jason Gann) is trying to abort Kristen's pregnancy somehow since he is convinced that dogs and babies are engaged in an eternal war for who's cuter.

Back In Love

After Kristen has a health scare with her pregnancy, Arturo -- who is after all the baby's father -- comes by to check on her and explains to Ryan that it was Arturo's wife who made him take out the restraining order -- he still loves Kristen! He loves her a little too much in fact. In the episode's best gag, they have an interminably long sex session in Ryan's bedroom, of all places, while he and Wilfred listen downstairs. Fed up with being put upon, the next day Ryan tells Kristen she can't use his place as a love nest. At first Kristen gets angry at Ryan, blaming him for her situation, but eventually she comes around and realize she's the only person she can blame for the difficult position she's in.

What did you think of this week's episode? Where might things be headed with the rivalry between Wilfred and the unborn baby?
