The shooting tragedy in Colorado gave hosts Jon Stewart of The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report something to be angry about, while Mitt Romney gave them more reasons to laugh.

The Gun Control Non-debate

After the massacre at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, both hosts were stunned the question of gun control was a taboo topic. Stewart thought the American public needed to be given some credit for being able to handle a tough discussion, as the greatest public there is. Colbert, however, mocked the immediate ban on costumes in movie theaters, when guns seemed like the obvious choice.
