This week's late night talk show highlights:
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Emma Roberts (7/30)
Juggling careers
With a smallish role in Celeste and Jesse Forever and a much larger one in the upcoming Adult World, the young starlet is carving out a nice resume for herself at this stage of her career. Most impressive is that she's done all this while being Eric Roberts' daughter and Julia Roberts' niece. Those seem like trying and exhausting careers in their own right.
Rosie Perez (7/31)
Spitfire
It's been a long time since she was Mookie's baby mama in Do the Right Thing. So long ago in fact that the term "baby mama" had not even slipped into the American lexicon. She's got a small part in the upcoming Won't Back Down but doesn't work nearly as much as she used to; which points to the shameful lack of screen roles that call for screechy Afro-Puerto Rican women with thick Brooklyn accents.
Selma Blair (8/1)
Challenging roles
The Replicas star has a lot on her plate lately. She's mother to an eight-month-old boy who is already walking and she costars with another selfish, time-sucking infant named Charlie Sheen on FX's Anger Management. The news does not get any better for Selma. Her kid and the show both appear determined to grow into their "terrible twos."
