Erica's Obsession
By her words, Erica "wants a quarter of a million dollars, and Kevin's penis." That goes to show you her feelings for him. All she does is talk about Kevin, and seems to honestly believe he's a better player, that he's more charming and trustworthy when he's around her. How sadly delusional.
Green Temptations
The house is on edge because they haven't yet picked team captains five hours after Joy's elimination, when it's usually done right away. Erica tries to reassure Kevin, who's freaking out, by giving the wise words of "Don't ride the wave, be the wave."
The players are eventually presented with a stone -- and then Joy and Mike return! The players in the house will be tempted with various dollar amounts. If any of them take the money, they'll leave the game immediately, but that means either Joy or Mike will come into the game again!
Gene just walks away. He doesn't care because he knows he won't be tempted. But come on, have some sportsmanship. He just projects like he's better than everyone else.
The money slowly rises up to $37,000. During this time, Gene sets up shop in front of the glass encasing where Joy and Mike are, chatting it up with his fake girlfriend while Mike is hollering at the other players to take the money because they won't win.
Stephanie, rationalizing over the fact that she was in the bottom two the last two weeks, takes the money. She IS super smart like her IQ reveals!
Back from the Dead
At one point in the game, the alliance of Kevin, Andrea and Mike (and I suppose Holly at one point) seemed so doomed. But with Stephanie gone, that helps him. And it turns out the viewers voted Mike to return to the game! So while Kevin's side recently gained Erica, the other side loses Erica, Joy AND Stephanie. That's incredible.
On top of that, Gene and Jeffrey are voted the bottom two! Jeffrey is understandable since he put himself out of the game. Erica has never been in the bottom two, and Kevin is so relieved he narrowly escaped. Meanwhile, Andrea and Mike are not included.
"The Perfect Crime"
For the competition, the players have to drag over a marionette from one end of a "television" to the other, carrying a disc in hand. They can either add the disc to the team total or to their own pot of money. So while they're playing for a team, there's also some personal incentive involved, the first time a competition has done that.
Jeffrey has Kevin and Andrea on his team. Viewers voted which emoticon each person's marionette would be. Jeffrey gets the crybaby, Andrea gets happy and Kevin gets cool.
I'm shocked Jeffrey is spending the whole time trying to get money instead of adding to his total. Meanwhile, Andrea and Kevin are busting their butt and not taking any money.
On the other team, Mike gets voted grumpy, Gene gets boring (ha!) and Erica gets love crazy. Mike throws the challenge as well, taking a lot of money.
The end result, 30-23, is close ... and Jeffrey wins! What an escape. I can't believe he is safe. Mike admits he took the money, but is now regretting it a little. But Jeffrey doesn't own up to it.
Banished to Limbo
Kevin is having thoughts about casting his stone for Mike because he threw the challenge and saved Erica. Gene is already in there and the other side wants Gene out, but Erica has the best chance to come back.
Jeffrey once again is the swing vote, vowing not to vote emotionally. Which means ... he votes for Erica and saves Mike! But good on Jeffrey for admitting it, while Erica is crying. I can't imagine her leaving. It's not like she volunteered to go.
