Big Brother Recap: Everyone Denies Everything

Janelle, shocked to have been backdoored, confronts Danielle because she says she knows that Danielle couldn't have come up with this plan on her own. Danielle lies through her teeth, saying everyone told her that Janelle was coming after her, and believes she'll stay. Dan commends Danielle for lying in front of everyone and to Janelle's face without "blinking an eye."

When Dan and Janelle chat, he acts surprised as well. He said he believes it was "girl instinct" and "girl feelings" that made Danielle put Janelle up. While that sounds funny, it's sort of true with Dan's situation being in an alliance with two emotional women -- Britney and Danielle -- and having them vent to him all the time. When Janelle asks Dan, "You think there's any other reason she put me up?" Boogie happens to interrupt the conversation by entering the storage room to get something. You can practically hear the crickets through the television screen.

Last-Minute Switch?

Looking to secure votes, all the newbies tell Janelle they're on her side. Janelle then pleads her case to Britney, who then has somewhat of an emotional breakdown in front of her core alliance, saying she hates lying to Janelle's face. She's also uncertain of the entire plan because she believes Janelle when she says she's not coming after her and Dan.

Is some last-minute switcheroo going to happen? It's intriguing, but I just don't see Dan switching sides again. It took a lot to throw Janelle under the bus in the first place since he so badly wanted the coaches to unite.

The Votes Are In

Janelle is eliminated by a vote of 8-1! The only person who voted for her to stay is Joe. Did he throw in a sympathy vote or is he really playing this game alone and completely clueless as to what else is going on in the house?

In her chat with host Julie Chen, Janelle says she still loves Dan. In their goodbye messages, Dan and Britney apologize for what went down, Joe vows to avenge her elimination and Boogie acts all Boogie-like, smug and cocky. Janelle calls him a loser and the audience cheers on loudly.

Power of the Music

I love HOH competitions where it's an elimination game because the tension is so high. Two houseguests listen to a song that describes a competition in the game -- HOH, coaches or veto. The first to ring in correctly stays in the game, and he/she picks the next two competitors. Here's how the game plays out:

Jenn vs. Wil -- Wil

Joe vs. Boogie -- Boogie

Wil vs. Ashley -- Ashley (She gets it with about three words. Who says this girl is ditzy?)

Shane vs. Britney -- Britney

Ashley vs. Ian -- Ian

Dan vs. Britney -- Britney (Pretty sure Dan threw it. The song played a little too long.)

Frank vs. Boogie -- Frank (Boogie buzzed in the answer right as the song played.)

Ian vs. Britney -- Britney

Frank vs. Britney -- Frank

Frank is the Head of Household! Boogie is happy ... and Ian is a little TOO happy, jumping into Frank's arms. Hey, Ian, don't you remember your Quack Pack alliance? Gosh.
