Will McKenzie and his three high school friends are at their first day of school. His best friends also happen to have known Will for one day.
Will Meets His New Friends
Will transferred to Grove High and the vice principal introduces him to Simon, Jay, and Neil, tasking them with the responsibility of helping Will get acclimated. Will apparently got bullied at his last school. Something tells me a change of scenery isn't going to help. Will has the makings of the classic nerd of the group. Clean cut, straight edge and wears a blazer.
To discourage drug use, Grove High doesn't have stalls on the bathroom doors. This proves to be a problem for Will as he tries to goes to the bathroom. Let's face it; going number two in the school bathroom is hard enough. Poor Will has to do it on his first day with no bathroom stalls. That's just impossible.
The jocks come in to find Will (and the rest of The Inbetweeners) in the bathroom. Will spends his first day on one of the jocks' smartphones after they snap a picture of him on the toilet.
Will's mom comes to pick him up, allowing his new friends to see how hot she is. Will is officially a member of the group. Yup, that's all it takes.
The Second Day is Cut Day
Will decides to cut school with his new friends on his second day of school. The only problem is, the only people not in school are two-year-olds. Luckily for Will, he is quickly finding his niche in the group. He looks older than the others, so they are using him to pretend he drives and buys liquor.
The Inbetweeners are drinking on their off day from school. Simon wants to impress the girl he has loved since he was eight (Carli), so his friends convince him to spray paint his feelings for Carli on her driveway.
Carli and her friends come home to catch Simon in the act. Carli notices Simon's friends are playing a prank on him, so she actually invites Simon over later that evening. Could it be that spray painting your crush's driveway is the way to her heart?
The Inbetweeners continue to drink the afternoon away, allowing Simon to get nice and wasted before heading back over to Carli's house. Note to everyone: letting the girl of your dreams see you wasted is not a great idea. However, it does make for funny television.
First Dates Are the Toughest
Will accompanies Simon to Carli's so Simon can be alone with Carli while Will babysits her younger brother. Simon continues to chug liquor, which leads to him trying to make out with Carli. Only, he projectile vomits everywhere first.
They get everything cleaned up and Simon is ready to give it a second shot, but he vomits again. This time, Simon vomits directly on Carli and her younger brother. This is why you don't drink heavily before going to see the girl of your dreams.
Simon and Will are caught by their parents and have to explain what happened. Will manages to get out of trouble by crying and blaming it all on being bullied.
Will's first couple days at Grove High with his new group of friends, The Inbetweeners, were eventful. If the first episode is any indication, these friends will be up to their share of hijinks. Girls, drinking, pranks and plenty of hilarious moments are on the horizon for The Inbetweeners.
