A good drinking game for tonight's Bachelor Pad would be to take a sip every time Chris grumbles and complains because that's all he does. He didn't get his wish to send Blakeley home last week and boy, do we hear about it .. and hear about it from Chris this week. He complains about being lied to when he is the master liah slash playah of the house. Blakeley is thrilled to still be here despite Chris' efforts, but we only see her gloat part of the time since ABC had to show Blakeley having sour grapes about picking a camping date instead of the sweet city date complete with diamonds that Lindzi got. Okay, that's enough sweet and sour talk or I'm going to have to order some chicken and rice.
Tea for two
Let's just get right to the tea. The challenge this week involves trying to stack up six cups and saucers and with walk them, intact, to a table to win. It's ladies first, and everyone assumes cocktail waitress Blakeley will win -- including Blakeley. Erica Rose is the slowest, which is a total surprise (yes, I'm rolling my eyes). Jaclyn and Lindzi struggle to stack just a few cups and saucers. Sarah eventually catches up to Blakeley, who still kept dropping her stacks of four or five, and she actually almost wins.
It's an almost win since Sarah gets disqualified for touching the top cup with her hand. Just then, Blakeley strides across with her six cups and saucers all stacked for the win. Burn! Tony, Blakeley's new partner, wins for the guys, so Blakeley is happy for now.
Unhappy camper
Blakeley gives her rose to Kalon since Tony already has one. But, Blakeley chooses the overnight date rather than the evening date thinking she and Tony will be jetting off somewhere. Wrongo, Blakeley. She and Tony have to rough it on an overnight camping trip complete with a truck, while Kalon and Lindzi get a glitzy city date in a sleek convertible. I don't know how ABC did it, but there is a frickin chandelier hanging from the bridge over the elegant dining table all set for Kalon's and Lindzi's romantic dinner. It's impressive.
But first, back at the mansion, Blakeley has to concentrate on keeping a fake smile plastered on her jealous face when Lindzi is handed a date box with piles of dazzling diamond and sapphire jewelry. Can you feel pitchfork eyes staring at you, Lindzi?
Friends' faceoff
A pissed off, grouchy Chris, who has to tell his latest partner, Sarah, to take her high heels off in order to climb the bunk bed ladder, (dumb brunette), confronts both Kalon and Ed and tells them they are liars. Ed's defense is that no, he didn't lie and say he would vote off Blakeley instead of Jamie, he simply changed his mind at the last minute so he could support his partner. That's a good one, Ed.
Later, when host Chris Harrison starts mentioning all the romantic couples now on Bachelor Pad like Kalon and Lindzi, Michael and Rachel, Chris and Sarah and Tony and Blakeley, Ed stops him before Chris says "Ed and Jaclyn." I don't want to still like Ed when he -- unintentionally -- hurts Jaclyn by saying to everyone that his feelings about not wanting a romance on the show haven't changed at all, but damn it, I still do.
Oh, what a night
Kalon and Lindzi enjoy their LA night together in city style, while it's all little white lights. blankets and guitars for a very cozy Michael and Rachel. Blakeley is really into Tony, so she does the best she can with her camping date. She looks so different in a braid, baseball cap and plain pink t-shirt. She is also smiling and laughing a lot which is never what she did as Chris' partner.
In contrast to all the happy, lovey-dovey stuff, Ed stares blankly not knowing what to do to comfort a sobbing Jaclyn. At one point, they are both silent and we hear crickets -- I kid you not. Tell her she's awesome, you big idiot! Elsewhere, Chris and Tony plot to get Lindzi out since trying to get Kalon out last week along with Blakeley didn't work.
A thorn on the rose
Tony's and Chris' plans are all for naught when Chris Harrison announces a new twist to "spice things up on Bachelor Pad." The girl voted off tonight gets to choose which guy will go home. You can just see the blush of anger in Chris' face at this point. Nothing is working for him and I love that.
After the new twist on the Rose Ceremony is announced, the aptly named Erica Rose finds out Chris voted for her to leave, then that it was Michael who was lying. There's enough hate to go around, Erica. Lindzi stands with Erica and one of them will go home. It is Erica, and she gets sweet revenge on Michael by taking him out of the game too. Aww, Rachel is crying as her guy Mikey is leaving.
Did you enjoy this week's Bachelor Pad?
