The Amazing Race

A brilliant plot to trick the Dating Divorcees was hatched by the Twins while two other teams agreed to the scheme. Despite a pause for profound contemplation from the team that was tasked to do the dirty deed, the plan was successfully executed. The ninth leg of the race was packed full of emotion and deep reflection by the few remaining teams in the scenic city of Amsterdam.

The Amazing Race airs on CBS on Sundays at 8:00 pm ET.

What Happened Last Week?

The Rockers were eliminated because of a controversial incident with a cab driver that took off with their passports. It was a difficult reality for the Rockers to swallow and the result will either change the rules for future competitions or serve as a lesson for future competitors.

The Twins' "Evil" Plot and a Closure Look at Chippendales

As we all know by now, Abbie and Ryan (Dating Divorcees) are not a favorite among the Texans and the scheming Twins. So when the Twins devised a strategy to get the Dating Divorcees out of the race via a U-Turn, I wasn't surprised when the Texans agreed to the plan. The Chippendales had difficulty, but eventually said, “yes” to the plan.

The Chippendales' magnificent bodies are just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more underneath their good looks. In tonight's episode, we learned how they wanted to win the race because they have to support their families back home and this was the reason they ultimately agreed to the conspiracy against the Dating Divorcees. Since their reason for winning is quite noble, I’m now less worried about their chances to win as they may be able to overcome their generosity for something more important: family.

They May Be Bad Girls but They're Fun to Watch

The Twins are hot and cold for me. I still haven't forgotten what the thieves in them did to the Rockers' travel money three episodes ago. Sometimes I get annoyed by their trash talking and scheming but somehow they redeem themselves with their wit and boldness. They are just so fun to watch. Since the Rockers left last week, the Chippendales have become my favorite team but I really can't imagine how this race would be without the Twins' antics.

Bad Luck Struck the Dating Divorcees for the Second and Final Time

If Abbie and Ryan decide to get married one day, I guarantee it, they will not be naming their child Frank. What's with Frankfurt and the Dating Divorcees, anyway? On their way to Russia, two weeks ago, they almost didn't make it to the pit stop on time because they were stuck in Frankfurt with the Goat Farmers for over 10 hours.

On this leg of the race, their plane in Frankfurt malfunctioned and their flight was delayed again. And their bad luck did not end there.

After toiling with Rembrandt's recreation, they found out they were U-Turned by the Chippendales and were devastated. It was a gloomy sight and the rain soaking their slouched bodies only enhanced the already tragic picture. I felt sorry for Abbie and Ryan. They lost not because they were not strong or competitive enough; they were just struck by bad luck and their apparent lack of people skills. Maybe if they were a bit less cocky and arrogant in the past, they may not have been as unfortunate.

The Dating Divorcees were my least favorite among the remaining five teams but I really felt sad for them especially when they were raising money by the organ stand because they had to go through another roadblock.

With only four teams left in the competition, the next episode should be an interesting one. The Goat Farmers seem to be the weakest but after a seemingly strong couple got eliminated, we just never know.
