Jack's (Alec Baldwin’s) mother was a late in life lesbian known to her Florida friends as "Mrs. Silly." That's the principal shocker in this third-to-last episode of 30 Rock. Back in New York, Tina Fey's former SNL team member Tim Meadows makes two brief appearances tonight as an NBC corporate lawyer named Martin Luther King. Megan Mullally makes another cameo as an adoption agent, and Kristen Schaal and Ken Howard also show up for a few moments in their recurring roles as Hazel the page and Hank Hooper, CEO of Cabletown.

30 Rock Starring Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski airs on NBC Thursdays at 9:00 pm ET.

Jack's Mother Was "Mrs. Silly" the Late-in-Life Lesbian?

Sons don't always want to know their mother's secrets, as Jack finds out after he convinces Liz (Tina Fey) into coming with him to Florida to help settle his late mother Colleen's (Elaine Stritch’s) estate. There he learns -much to his chagrin- that the dour woman he always thought "a miserable old crone" was known there as "Mrs. Silly" for her pranks and jokes. This revelation is made by her live-in nurse, whom Liz discovers was Colleen's "late-in-life lesbian lover." Already sour on Florida because of it going Democrat in the presidential election, Jack angrily quips: "why can't we just cut this state loose and let it crash into Cuba!"

Liz in Harry Potter Prison

Forced to spend the night together in his late mother's spare bedroom, Jack and Liz get into an argument when Liz asks why he never came on to her. Rather than continue this uncomfortable conversation Jack goes out to sleep in the car and Liz heads off to Harry Potter World - where she is "arrested" by park security for trying to cut in line for the hippogriff ride. "I'm in Harry Potter World jail," she tells Jack when calling him to bail her out. "I tried to live life" she explains, "I tried to be spontaneous."

Jenna and Tracy Run the Show...Into the Ground

With Jack and Liz away Jenna (Jane Krakowski) and Tracy (Tracy Morgan) take over and run the gang's fictional show (TGS) - and promptly run it into the ground. Former SNL regular Tim Meadows shows up as NBC corporate attorney Martin Luther King to demand their help in squashing a harassment lawsuit filed by Hazel, the former NBC page played by Kristen Schaal. They get everyone to sign an affidavit denying Hazel's claims of being abused - except for Kenneth (Jack MacBrayer).

Kenneth Comes Clean

Already reduced from page to janitor, and dumped by Hazel, all Kenneth has left is his integrity, but he loses even that and is "broken" as Tracy puts it when he agrees to lie and sign the papers. Tracy and Jordan feel bad and free him from his promise - thus allowing him to tell the truth about the culture of "inappropriate behavior" at 30 Rock. When Cabletown CEO Hank Hooper (Ken Howard) learns of this, he steps in and tells Liz that because of the lawsuit, the subsequent "PR nightmare and this den of sin you built" he is canceling TGS.
