Bringing Something Sexy Back: Top Timberlake Duets We're Waiting For

I'm bringing sexy back! Well, I'm not, but Justin Timberlake is! JT released his first new track since 2006 last week, and the long awaited song is signature Justin. In "Suit & Tie" he sings about suiting up and dressing to the nines, which fits with his ventures into fashion design (he owns high-end label William Rast) since his last album. It's R&B, and features a verse from Jay-Z. So that's one big-name friend he's had join him so far; let's explore who else may turn up on The 20/20 Experience:

Adele

She's the world's most famous R&B singer at the moment, so it would be pretty awesome to see Justin and Adele duet. Hey, we know Adele gets starstruck around him from her recollection meeting him after she won her first Grammy, and Justin did prove he could write a song about his ex. Just check out "Cry Me a River"!

Rob Thomas

You could almost mistake Thomas' debut solo hit, "Lonely No More," for a JT single, but alas, the two are just peas in a pod that way. Honestly, they don't always have much in common in their music, but they both have fantastic voices that are just itching to mix and match.

Gotye

Gotye is one of the few singers who uses falsetto vocals out there in mainstream music besides JT. The two would harmonize together so well, and let's face it, Justin is just dying to get the indie cred that Gotye brings. Maybe they should call Bon Iver, another great falsetto, to join them.

Usher

The competition for the title of the new King of Pop has trailed these two for years. From public dance-offs to competition to sign Justin Bieber back in the day, the R&B stars should just collaborate and merge their impressive talents instead of competing over who is better. That would benefit us all!

Kelly Clarkson

Back when Clarkson was promoting Stronger she told Access Hollywood that she'd love to work with JT because he thinks "a little different...he never comes up with the same thing." The two have known each other for over ten years, and back in the day, right after she was crowned the American Idol, Timberlake said he felt like "a weird caretaker," wanting to make sure she'd be okay in this new world of fame. How cute! Maybe they can take care of each other on stage next time.

Britney Spears

The least likely, but probably most coveted duet would be for Justin to reunite with his first love. Back in Justin's 'N Sync days the two dated, and they were the quintessential bubblegum pop couple. Fans literally mourned when they split. However, the two haven't spoken in over ten years, according to Timberlake in a 2011 Vanity Fair interview, and likely won't now that he's married.

Adam Levine

This is an easy case to make. The two have duetted singing Maroon 5's "This Love" at least twice in concert, and have been awesome each time. Not only did MTV call each of them "Hip-Hop's Favorite White Boy" at one point, but Christina Aguilera called Levine "a Justin wannabe." Oh, and they're both beautiful.

Jack Black

The only thing they have in common may be that they hosted the MTV Movie Awards back-to-back, but how hilarious a duo would this make? Alas, it's not going to happen if Black's Golden Globes red carpet interview is any indication, since he said it's "no big deal" that JT's coming out with new music (he seems to think "SexyBack" was a year or two ago, not six). Maybe he'll team up with Destiny's Child, since he thinks their comeback is a bigger deal.

Jennifer Hudson

Hudson's pipes are almost incomparable, and she would add great diversity to Justin's new disc. Since going solo Justin hasn't done anything conventional, and partnering with Hudson would add awesome depth to any song. Just imagine her voice remixed. You know I'm right. Oh, and they both start songs by talking. What's up with that?

Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle's first taste of celebrity came years before her name was known, back in 1999 when she covered "Cry Me a River" for a charity disc and got rave reviews; she also re-recorded the song for her first album after Britain's Got Talent. Clearly Boyle's a JT fan, so let's just call this an obvious move that Justin should not ignore.
