FILE - In this Feb. 25, 2010 file photo, actress Piper Perabo attends the USA Network and Vanity Fair 2010 Character Approved Awards at the IAC building in New York. Perabo was nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress in a television drama series, Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, for her role in ''Covert Affairs.'' The Golden Globe awards will air on Jan. 16 on NBC.

Can dour self-absorbed Ryan (Matthew Perry) compete for the affections of fellow cast members with the dramatic and perky Simone (Piper Perabo)? Will the former dancer, sidelined by a mysterious injury, resume her supposedly beloved drama queen bee status as group leader Lauren (Laura Benanti) fears? Or does she have romance in mind with Ryan? NFL wide receiver and current free agent Terrell Owens (or simply T.O. as he sometimes prefers) also makes an appearance tonight - for, after all, Perry's character is supposed to be a sports talk show host, isn't he?

Go On Starring Matthew Perry, John Cho and Laura Benanti airs on NBC Tuesdays at 9:00 pm ET.

Piper Perabo's Simone Showers the Group with Scarves

How can Ryan compete with a dazzling dancer? Fresh from her world travels, supposed former dancer Simone (Piper Perabo) showers the group with fancy scarves from Marakesh, quickly winning back the affections of most of the members with whom she once and now again will share grief counseling sessions. Group leader Lauren is skeptical of her motives for returning, noting that there was neither evidence of the dance career Simone mourns nor the injury that allegedly ended it.

"Everybody Loves" Simone

Does anyone ever think an ultimatum will get them what they want? As everyone in the group except Lauren becomes re-infatuated with Simone, Ryan feels threatened and sidelined. Knowing that Lauren doesn't like Simone either, he goes to her for advice. She says, "Trust me; Do nothing," but instead he issues the group an ultimatum - and they choose Simone. They even compete for who will have the honor of taking Simone in as a guest - but she chooses Anne (Julie White), making the lesbian lawyer blush when she offers to share her bed (as friends, perhaps, or maybe something more?)

T.O. Teaches Ryan a Lesson

What does a football player know about pranks? Wide-receiver Terrell Owens shows up as a guest on Ryan's talk show, hoping for an apology for the last time "when you threw food at me." Simone calls in to the show and asks Ryan out. When he hesitates Terrell tells Ryan that it is he, not Simone who has a problem. Owens is miffed when Ryan cuts short the interview, and when Ryan's boss Steven (John Cho) and his new-found "buddy" Mr. K. (Brett Gelman) decide to pull a prank on Ryan to "teach him a lesson," T. O. readily declares, "I'm in!"

Ryan and Simone Play Truth or Dare - and Romance Blossoms

Is Ryan finally ready for romance? Ryan reluctantly goes out for a drink with Simone, plays truth or dare and follows her when she invites him up to a rooftop to view the city. As the thunder cracks and the rain begins, Ryan, mesmerized, leans in for a kiss - and the two end up in bed together! Unfortunately, that bed is Anne's, and the entire group has come over to help convince Anne that the time has come to finally sleep in the bed she used to share with her late partner - only to discover it is already occupied!

"I can't say I respect you, but you seem less like a cartoon dog to me now." – Anne

"That's the first dare I've ever heard that doesn't involve taking my clothes off." – Simone
