The Golden Globe Nominations for Best Actor in a Drama this year are some pretty fantastic actors who portray some pretty reprehensible men. Their characters are manipulators, schemers, drug cookers and even killers, so why do we love them so much? Is it a matter of "every woman wants them and every man wants to be them"? Personally, I think we're being manipulated too. Combine the charm and potential sex appeal these actors have with the fact that a lot of the time their characters are taking action against even worse foes and suddenly, we're hooked. Let's check out the five nominees and a few of the Bad Boys that were snubbed this year. The 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards air Sunday, January 15th 8pm/7c on NBC.

Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad, AMC

(AMC)

Bad Boy: Cranston plays Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher confronted by a diagnosis of terminal lung cancer. Anticipating his family's financial needs after he's gone, Walter turns his chemistry expertise into a lucrative business: cooking crystal meth.

Bad Deeds: Looking back on the start of the show, Walter's decision to start cooking meth seems pretty docile compared to the downward spiral he's gotten himself into over the years. Somewhere between dissolving a dead body in acid and running down some dealers with his car, Walter became a genuine bad boy. Yet, while Walter chooses to do bad things, the audience is ok with it because he is doing so for the benefit of his family.
